On October 4, 2026, at The Glasshouse – International Centre for Music in Gateshead, this concert puts Steve Reich’s music front and center, in a programme built like a tour through his shifting patterns and clean, propulsive grooves. At the helm, percussionist Colin Currie brings the kind of precision and physical energy Reich’s scores demand, joined by Bryce Dessner (yes, The National’s guitarist), a long-time advocate of Reich’s writing.
