Info
Too Many Zooz land in London for a night that blurs the line between a jazz gig and a dancefloor rush. On 23 January 2027 at Islington Assembly Hall, the New York trio brings their no-frills “brass house” formula: Leo Pellegrino’s baritone sax laying down bass-weight riffs, Matt Doe’s trumpet firing sharp hooks on top, and David “King of Sludge” Parks driving everything with punchy, street-bred percussion.
First known for turning Union Square subway platforms into mini raves in the early 2010s, they’ve kept that same forward motion as they moved from busking to clubs and international touring. Expect a mostly instrumental set built on tight loops, hip-hop-informed groove and the kind of rhythmic insistence that makes you move without thinking. Tracks from their album Subway Gawdz and later releases sit naturally alongside the band’s live improvisation, with the energy of a street performance and the precision of a seasoned touring act.
