Info
On February 20, 2027, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah lands at Islington Assembly Hall in London with the songs Alec Ounsworth has been shaping for nearly two decades. What started as a self-produced indie shockwave in the mid-2000s has gradually turned into a project built around his writing: nervy guitars, jagged keys, that instantly recognizable voice, and lyrics that stay close even when the arrangements zigzag.
Live, expect the early, off-kilter spark to sit next to a broader, more confident sound, moving between melodic friction and left-field pop instincts. Across releases from the self-titled breakthrough to later records like New Fragility, Ounsworth keeps tweaking the formula without sanding down the edges, stretching dynamics, refrains, and rhythm into something that feels both intimate and restless. This London date is a chance to hear that evolution in real time, with the catalog reworked onstage and the connection with the crowd right at the center.
