Info
On February 3, 2027, the Glenn Miller Memorial Orchestra arrives at the Jean Moulin Auditorium in Le Thor with a new show centered on 'the best of the Swing Era.' On stage, a classic-format big band (rhythm section, brass and saxophones) revives the Golden Age of the 1930s–40s through finely crafted arrangements, tight ensemble work, and that instantly recognizable sound, blending danceable jazz with popular song.
At the microphone, Paul Wood pays tribute to Frank Sinatra with signature tunes such as New York, New York; Come Fly With Me; The Lady Is a Tramp; Mack the Knife; or You Make Me Feel So Young, in the spirit of the arrangements by Nelson Riddle and Billy May. Fiona Paige, for her part, delves into the great classics popularized by Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee, before reuniting with Paul Wood for duets.
After the intermission, the heart of the Glenn Miller repertoire takes the stage: In the Mood, Moonlight Serenade, and Sing, Sing, Sing, led by drummer and conductor Dominique Metz.
