For nearly two decades and five albums in, Iceage have kept circling the same obsession: the feeling that everything could slip, crack, collapse at any second. It’s not a concept piece, more a way of writing and playing, where songs move like they’re about to fall apart, then snap back into shape. Born out of Copenhagen’s DIY scene, the band started with a tense, abrasive post‑punk blast, then kept widening the frame album after album, letting in darker melodies, art‑punk angles, and a more open rock sound without losing that nervous edge.
On February 21, 2027, at Nice N Sleazy in Glasgow, expect a set that runs on momentum: jagged riffs, restless rhythms, and Elias Bender Rønnenfelt’s voice right up front, pushing each track into that unstable sweet spot. Iceage don’t settle into one era; they move through their different phases like chapters of the same story, always chasing the thrill of being close to the brink.
