VÆB, the Icelandic pop duo formed by brothers Hálfdán Helgi and Matthías Davíð Matthíasson, brings their brisk, electronic pop to Bristol on 25 September 2026 at Exchange. The project began in 2022 with a debut track that gained traction on TikTok, and since then the duo has honed a tight Icelandic formula: synth-driven choruses, a light hip-hop edge, and short, punchy tracks that land hard and are dancefloor-friendly. After the album Væb tékk and a stream of singles and collaborations, they broadened the sound with the EP Væbauer, created together with Ingi Bauer. Many came to know them through Söngvakeppnin, where “Bíómynd” reached the final, before they in 2025 won with “Róa” and carried it to Eurovision in Basel. In concert, VÆB focuses on tempo, hooks, and that Nordic club energy, where pop, beats and synthetic melodies continually push forward, now with new material from the album Væabout.
