Thee Sinseers bring their East Los Angeles soul to Strange Brew in Bristol on 29 September 2026. Formed in 2019 around singer, songwriter and producer Joey Quiñones, the group leans on classic R&B and 60s/70s soul craft without getting stuck in pure throwback mode. Expect songs built on a tight rhythm section, bright brass lines and layered backing vocals, where the melody stays front and center and the groove does the heavy lifting.
Their recent material moves through love in all its shapes: romantic, family ties, half-healed heartbreak, and the complicated bits that don’t wrap up neatly. The sound stays warm and earthy, shifting between slow, sweet ballads, doo-wop shades and mid-tempo rhythm and blues, with room for cross-genre touches. It’s rooted in the band’s East LA identity, but aimed straight at the room: direct, emotional, and made to feel lived-in.
