Info
Bonobo comes to Hamburg's Georg Elser Hall on March 9, 2027 with 'Distance In Static'. Behind the project is Simon Green, who for years has been tinkering with a sound that fuses electronic beats with warm musicality: downtempo, trip-hop, nu-jazz, and again and again these organic hues of strings, brass, and soulful voices.
In a live setting, this is not a pure club track, but a set that sits between precise production and breathing dynamism. Bonobo likes to build his tracks in larger arcs, letting the basslines roll, shift the rhythms, and let melodies unfold, without losing the flow. If you know him from the Ninja Tune era or have in mind the newer, more open chapters like Migration and Fragments, you’ll get exactly that mix here: detail-oriented electronics that work in a room without feeling sterile.
