Info
Richard Marx brings his songbook to River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond on October 16, 2026, for a set that leans on the clean melodies and big choruses that made him a fixture of late-’80s and ’90s pop rock. Expect the ballads to hit first: “Right Here Waiting” and “Hold On to the Nights” still revolve around that direct, emotional writing and a voice built for slow-burn hooks.
But this show isn’t just a nostalgia run. Marx’s catalog also includes punchier, radio-ready tracks like “Satisfied,” the darker storytelling of “Hazard,” and the breezy drive of “Endless Summer Nights,” all tied together by the same song-first approach. A Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and producer, he’s also known for writing for others, and that craft comes through live: tight structures, clear melodies, and arrangements that keep the focus on the lyrics and the chorus.
