On May 15, 2027, Daan will perform at Musis Arnhem (Arnhem) with the typical mix with which Daan Stuyven has been carving out his own corner since the late 1990s: rock and pop that also lean on electronic pulses and a danceable drive, with that cinematic shadow always hovering over it. Do not expect a tightly defined genre, but songs that make guitars and synths clash, refrains that come through clearly, and arrangements that breathe like a soundtrack.
Daan moves effortlessly between English, French, and sometimes Dutch, without the mood breaking: rhythmic, dark-toned, and elegant in the details. Live, the project is not a solo act but a band around Stuyven, with several musicians who thicken the songs or, conversely, open them up. In Arnhem, that broad repertoire comes together: from compact pop forms to tracks that take more space and pull you along in tempo, texture, and melody.
