Info
On November 2, 2026, Paul Heaton brings his sharp, melody-first British songwriting to Utilita Arena Cardiff. Active since the early 80s, he’s the kind of writer who can slip big choruses and soulful touches into stories about everyday life, relationships, and the little contradictions of modern Britain.
If you know him from The Housemartins, you’ll hear that same knack for clean, direct pop lines; if your reference point is The Beautiful South, expect the wider palette too: pop-rock swing, lighter folk edges, and those finely tuned arrangements built to carry a voice that sounds warm even when the lyrics bite. His more recent chapter—solo records and the long-running collaboration with Jacqui Abbott—adds another layer of intimacy and craft, right up to his latest album The Mighty Several. This Cardiff date is a chance to catch a catalogue built for singing along, while still paying attention to the words.
