Info
On October 23, 2026, China Crisis bring their elegant brand of British new wave to The Crescent in York. Built around the long-running duo of Gary Daly (vocals, keys) and Eddie Lundon (guitar, vocals), the set is all about that sweet spot they’ve always owned: melodic synth lines, chiming guitars, and a rhythm feel that’s as supple as it is precise.
Expect a show that moves easily between early-’80s urgency and their more refined, sophisti-pop side, shaped by influences like Brian Eno and Steely Dan. The classics are part of the story, from “Wishful Thinking” to “Black Man Ray”, alongside deeper cuts that highlight their introspective songwriting and understated hooks. Whether you know them from the charts or from the albums that defined their sound, this date is a chance to hear those songs breathe in a live setting, with the duo’s signature balance of warmth and cool still intact.
