Info
On 18 October 2026, Toploader bring their piano-led Britpop-era rush to Quarters in Brighton, revisiting the songs that made them a staple of late-90s UK radio and the circuit that followed. Built around Joseph Washbourn’s warm vocals and keys with Dan Hipgrave’s guitar drive, the band’s sound sits between alternative rock and pop rock, with a touch of soul and funk in the groove and big, sung-out choruses at the centre.
Expect a set that moves easily from straight-up anthemic energy to more laid-back moments, pulling from their early run through Onka’s Big Moka and Magic Hotel, then folding in the later chapters from Only Human and Seeing Stars. Toploader have always been a live band first, and this Brighton date is a chance to catch that tight, melodic songwriting in full flight, with the kind of crowd-friendly hooks that still do the job years on.
