Info
On September 19, 2026, at Sandman Centre in Kamloops, Lyle Lovett brings his Small Large Band format on stage, a setup that keeps the punch of a tight group while leaving space for the color and swing that made his “Large Band” era stand out. Lovett’s songwriting sits right at the crossroads of country tradition and a wider American palette: folk storytelling, western swing, blues turns, jazz phrasing, even a hint of gospel when the chorus opens up.
Known for his precise diction and observant, sometimes ironic narratives, he can move from intimate acoustic ballads to fuller arrangements without changing the core of the song. Expect a set that travels through different sides of his catalog, from early records that put him on the map to later work like 12th of June, always with that Texas backbone and a band built to shift gears smoothly from groove to tenderness.
