On Friday 12 March 2027, Movements bring their emotionally charged alt sound to Electric Bristol. Hailing from Orange County, the quartet have built their identity at the crossroads of post-hardcore, emo revival and alternative rock, with airy guitars, measured tension and vocals that slide from clear melodies to near spoken-word intensity. The set is expected to pull from key chapters like Feel Something and No Good Left To Give, where their writing widens out beyond pure emo catharsis to tackle anxiety, depression, love, loss and the messy push-and-pull of relationships, without losing that intimate, close-to-the-bone tone. With the band’s long-running connection to producer Will Yip shaping their punchy, detailed sound, this Bristol date promises a live show that leans as much on dynamics and restraint as it does on big crescendos.
Gouge Away open the night with a sharper, more abrasive edge. The Florida band’s blend of urgent hardcore and noise rock has grown increasingly direct and catchy over the years, and recent material like Figurine pushes that balance further, driven by riffs that bite and swerve. Up front, Christina Michelle’s voice moves fast between roar and whisper, making their performance feel physical, tense, and hard to look away from.
