Info
On June 12, 2027, Dreamland Margate hosts Rewind on Sea, a four-artist lineup built for anyone who still has a soft spot for UK pop and new wave.
Nik Kershaw comes with that sharp 80s songwriting where synth lines, clean guitars and tight hooks do the job. Expect the punch of his breakthrough era, from Wouldn’t It Be Good to The Riddle, plus deeper cuts that show how his sound evolved beyond the mid-decade rush.
Altered Images, led by Clare Grogan, brings the Glasgow edge that flipped post-punk tension into bright, nervy pop. Short songs, angular guitars and big choruses are the core here, with the spirit of Happy Birthday and their early-80s run still front and center.
Heather Small delivers the soul-pop power that made her voice a defining part of British dance culture. From the M People years to her own material, it’s all about direct, full-bodied vocals riding club-ready grooves.
Roland Gift rounds it out with that unmistakable Fine Young Cannibals snap: pop rock and R&B tension, a voice that cuts through, and the kind of set that naturally leans into Johnny Come Home, She Drives Me Crazy and Good Thing.
