Info
When Masego performs at Vega in Copenhagen on February 14, 2027, he brings a live expression that flows freely between modern R&B, hip-hop, and jazz, and where the saxophone is not merely ornament but the engine of the entire sonic landscape. He has crafted his own blend, often referred to as TrapHouseJazz: vocal and rap phrasing laid over urban grooves, with room for improvisation and small melodic twists that can take the track somewhere beyond the album.
The breakthrough came with the improvised 'Tadow' alongside FKJ, and since then he has expanded his more song-oriented universe across releases such as Lady Lady, Studying Abroad, and the 2023 album Masego. On stage it becomes a concert where neo-soul warmth meets jazzy flexibility, and where energy and detail are allowed to coexist.
