On February 13, 2027, at Austra Rocks Grenoble, the evening brings together four approaches to attacking metal, ranging from Texan ice-cold heaviness to nerve-wracking hardcore.
Hailing from Texas, Frozen Soul arrives with its modern take on old-school death metal: slow, massive riffs, a heaviness that advances at a crawl, and a dark atmosphere. Since Encased in Ice and the debut Crypt of Ice, the band has left its mark: a thick, no-frills sound, built to strike in mid-tempo and establish a real mood.
From Washington, D.C., Darkest Hour stacks metalcore and melodic death with fast guitars, razor-sharp harmonies, and hardcore intensity that never lets up. Their writing, forged on records such as Undoing Ruin, Deliver Us, and more recently Perpetual Terminal, promises a taut set, balancing velocity with dark melodies.
Dethroned, hailing from Dresden, fuses melodic death metal and hardcore: razor-edged riffs, heavy rhythms, well-placed breakdowns, and an energy tailored for the pit. Denial of Life rounds out the bill with a crossover thrash approach that emphasizes the night’s aggressive, in-your-face energy.
