Info
Skinshape is the musical project of British composer and producer William Dorey, a man who looks the 60s and 70s straight in the eye to craft songs in his own distinctive flavour. Funk and reggae form its backbone, but there is also psychedelic rock, folk, African music and those library-music textures that sound like tape and dusty patina. The result is a warm, enveloping groove, with elastic basslines, hazy guitars and arrangements that seem simple until you take a closer look. On Thursday, 19 November 2026, Skinshape arrives at Sala Apolo (Barcelona) in a five-piece band lineup: five musicians on stage to bring to life a repertoire that blends recent material with tracks that have defined his career. A night designed to let you drift between the reggae-driven groove, laid-back funk and soft psychedelia, with that cinematic edge Dorey has been honing in the studio for years.
