On October 30, 2026, at O2 Academy Liverpool, Girl Group bring their fast-rising Liverpool energy to the stage with a set built for people who like pop hooks with teeth. Formed in 2023 at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, the five-piece—Katya Birkeland, Lily Christlow, Thea Gundersen, Mia Halvorsen and Maria Tollisen—work as a proper collective, shaping songs together and leaning into the dynamics of voices moving as one.
Their sound sits where melodic indie-pop meets taut guitars and a sharper, punk-leaning edge: choruses that stick, rhythms that push, and harmonies that open the tracks up live. Expect highlights from the run of singles that led to the 2025 EP Think They’re Looking, Let’s Perform, plus newer cuts that tilt into pop-punk colours in the vein of “Rage Song”. Lyrics circle relationships, friendship, and the pressure that comes with being watched—made to be shouted back, together.
