On January 16, 2027, at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, 3 Inches Of Blood bring their Victoria-bred heavy metal back home turf, with that straight-ahead mix of traditional metal and power metal built on twin-guitar speed, big melodic lines, and choruses made to be shouted. Expect a set that leans into the band’s classic DNA: fantasy-tinged imagery, tight riffs, and the signature vocal contrast that long defined their sound, from early breakout cuts to the later, more road-tested material. Reformed in 2023, the group returns with Cam Pipes, Justin Hagberg, Shane Clark, Nick Cates and Ash Pearson, focused on delivering a show that’s direct, loud, and built for the pit.
Sharing the bill, Vancouver’s Unleash The Archers hit their hometown crowd with a style that bridges traditional heavy metal, power metal, and melodic death metal. Fronted by Brittney Slayes, they pair soaring hooks with sharper, faster guitar work and more aggressive turns, shaped in the mid-2010s into a more melodic, narrative-driven approach. Live, it’s about precision and momentum, with songs that lean into their sci-fi and fantasy storytelling while keeping the energy constant from start to finish.
