After an eighth studio album that was self-titled and a long tour, Ycare returns to the stage with a side project: a tribute album to Jacques Brel, which he approaches as living material to be reactivated rather than museumified. On October 15, 2027, in Marseille, at the Silo, he will present these re-readings in a rock version—taut, nerve-wracking—with arrangements designed for impact and a rendition faithful to the text. In this new chapter, Ycare relies on arrangements he co-signs with Pascal Obispo, continuing their collaboration after their duet Viens. The aim is not to reproduce Brel down to the last detail, but to shift the angles, to accentuate its rough edges, and to inject a strongly contemporary intensity. A concert that should move between the power of the new versions and the imprint of his own repertoire, Francophone pop with guitars and intimate writing.
