On November 20, 2026, MCR-T lands at Hangaren in Copenhagen with the kind of set that sits right on the fault line between DJ pressure and MC presence. Behind the alias is Berlin-based artist Julian McCarthy, who treats the voice as part of the rhythm section: short commands, hooks, and mic work that hit like percussion over fast, driving club tracks.
Expect a raw mix of Miami bass, booty house, ghettotech and hard techno, stitched together with that Live From Earth Klub energy—sweaty tempos, heavy low end, and sharp switches that keep the room moving. MCR-T’s approach is hands-on and direct, built on the tension between tight production and the freedom of live vocals, sometimes flipping between English and German without breaking the flow. It’s less about a neat genre box and more about what happens when rap structure gets grafted onto rave speed, right there in the moment.
