Jarocin is not just a festival, but a piece of history of Polish rebellion and the independent scene. On December 12, 2026, at the B90 Club in Gdańsk, the series 'There Was Once Jarocin' returns to that energy, focusing on the music and the bands that in the 1980s and 1990s helped shape the atmosphere of the entire movement. Armia will remind us of their characteristic clash between punk-driven energy and hardcore nerve, blended with more expansive, at times progressive forms. In addition, Budzyński’s lyrics, full of references to literature and philosophy, and a sound in which a horn can appear beside the guitars — a hallmark of the band. Closterkeller will bring the darker side of Jarocin: Gothic rock with an alternative weight and a New Wave atmosphere, based on the distinctive vocals of Anja Orthodox. Abaddon and The Bill will complete the evening with a classic, direct punk punch that works best live, in front of a crowd.
