On Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Babour Sauvage in Paris, the evening brings together two profiles deeply rooted in the sound system culture. Fatta, a founding member of the Parisian sound system Soul Stereo, arrives with a selector crafted through decades of digging into over sixty years of Jamaican music. Reggae, ska, dub, dancehall, and touches of bass music: he moves through classics from the 1960s to today’s productions, with the tempo and momentum distinctive of selectors. A regular on stages and festivals across Europe, he has also shared the microphone and the turntables with artists such as Johnny Osbourne, Luciano, Junior Kelly, or Morgan Heritage. His trips to Kingston fuel a sharpened selection, notably via the dubplates he records on site. By his side, Taiwan MC brings his high-energy flow and a way of weaving reggae, dancehall, hip-hop, and dub. Between toasting and more rap-like phrasing, he delivers verses that ride the bass and the breaks, for a set where the live energy matters as much as the influences.
