Ride returns to the stage with what has defined its signature since the late 80s: a dense guitar dialogue, sharp melodies, and that constant tension between saturation and pop clarity. Mark Gardener and Andy Bell still share the vocals and the riffs, propelled by the solid rhythm section of Steve Queralt and Loz Colbert, for a sound that has traversed the ages without losing its nerve.
Since reforming, the quartet has rediscovered the alchemy that placed Ride at the heart of British shoegaze. Their latest album, Interplay, embraces this link across all periods of the band: frenetic guitar attacks, hypnotic grooves, dreamy hooks, with a more expansive production and confident nods to the great pop records of the 80s, from Tears for Fears to Talk Talk, including the early work of U2. Live on 13 February 2027 at the O2 Academy Brixton in London.
