Swim School head to London on 16 September 2026 at Colours Hoxton, presented by The Rock Revival. The band formed in Edinburgh in the late 2010s around Alice Johnson and has carved out a sound between Scottish indie rock, catchy pop hooks and dream-pop textures, with just the right amount of thick guitars and tension to flirt with shoegaze at times. After their first singles 'Sway' and 'Take You There', Swim School used the pandemic period to tighten the writing and move forward in stages, with the EPs Volume 1 and Making Sense Of It All, before widening their spectrum with Duality and the mixtape Seeing It Now. Their self-titled debut album, Swim School (2025), extends this blend of grunge energy and more ethereal atmospheres, conceived for live performance. On stage, the trio has honed its live show in clubs and at festivals, with a clear penchant for hooks that hit hard and rising tension.
