If yé-yé had a voice and a silhouette, Sylvie Vartan remains one of its most unmistakable figures. Born in Bulgaria and arriving in Paris as a child, she established herself very early at the start of the 1960s with 'Panne d’essence', then followed with songs that marked French pop, spanning twist, rock ’n’ roll and chanson with direct writing. 'La plus belle pour aller danser', 'Comme un garçon', 'La Maritza', '2 min 35 de bonheur' and 'Irrésistiblement' sketch a path that fits her era while preserving that sense of melody. With the 1970s and 1980s, Vartan shifted her repertoire toward a more orchestrated pop designed for the stage, without losing her rock- and soul-based foundation. Her path also crosses Johnny Hallyday with 'J’ai un problème', and songwriters such as Gainsbourg or Aznavour. On 4 April 2027, she presents 'Ma Vie en Chanson, avec Vous...' at the Pasino Partouche Grande Motte, a show centered on her titles and a career spanning several decades.
