On 14 March 2027, Sylvie Vartan takes the stage at the Amphithéâtre 3000 in Lyon for a concert conceived as a through-line through her career: songs that have marked several decades of French pop, balancing yé-yé energy with more orchestrated variety.
Discovered in the early 1960s with "Panne d’essence" alongside Frankie Jordan, Vartan quickly established a direct, melodic style, nourished by twists and rock ’n’ roll, often drawing on the great Anglo‑American sources she knows how to translate into French.
The 1960s remain a foundation, with tracks that have become obvious markers in the collective memory: "La plus belle pour aller danser", "Comme un garçon", "La Maritza", "Irrésistiblement" or "2 min 35 de bonheur".
Over the 1970s and 1980s, her repertoire broadened toward a more stage-oriented and orchestrated pop, without losing the rock- and soul-edge that has accompanied her from the start. An evening to rediscover a voice, a way of interpreting the songs, and a trajectory that has traversed the stage, television, and the music hall.
