On March 10, 2027, Teddy Swims will bring his 'The Ugly Tour' to the Barclays Arena in Hamburg. Behind the artist name lies Jaten Dimsdale from the Atlanta area—a songwriter with a voice that uses Soul and R&B as a base, yet easily shifts into pop, gospel, rock, or even country, without sounding contrived.
Teddy Swims first gained fame through his covers, in which he strips pop hits and classics down to his warm, agile vocal delivery. Meanwhile, his own material now clearly takes center stage: modern soul-pop ballads, R&B productions with bite, and lyrics that revolve around relationships, vulnerability, and starting over. By now, at the latest since the album I've Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1) and the breakout track 'Lose Control,' it's clear how well this blend of intimacy and a hook works.
