Teddy Swims brings 'The Ugly Tour' to the Uber Arena in Berlin on March 11, 2027. Behind the name is Jaten Dimsdale from near Atlanta: a songwriter and singer who seamlessly blends soul, R&B, and pop, with small forays into gospel, rock or country, depending on what the song needs.
He first gained recognition in 2019 with cover versions in which he translates standards and current pop songs into a warm, melodic sound. Since then he has gradually built his own repertoire: on 'Unlearning' (2021) and the EPs 'Tough Love' and 'Sleep Is Exhausting' (both 2022) he brings the big themes to the fore—relationships, vulnerability, and this slow process of putting himself back together. By 2023's 'I've Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1)' and the hit 'Lose Control,' the balance between intimate ballad and more punchy pop‑rock moments is established. Live, it comes across as a band show, where groove and voice carry everything—direct, approachable, without theatrics.
