Rodriguez Jr., alias Olivier Mateu, lands in Toronto on August 8, 2026 at Story Toronto with a hybrid set designed to blur the line between a DJ set and a live performance. A French figure of melodic electronic music, he first cut his teeth with The Youngsters before forging his solo path, straddling deep house, techno, and touches of electro-pop.
His signature: supple basslines, synths with a singing quality, and harmonic writing that preserves the dancefloor’s sense without sacrificing nuance. Long associated with Mobilee, he has also made an impression with the album Bittersweet, where club efficiency meets more contemplative atmospheres.
