On August 1, at SAT – Société des Arts Technologiques in Montréal, the night lines up a fast, noisy and club-forward cast, built for people who like their dance music with grit and sharp edges.
DJ Chaotic Ugly comes in from New York for a Machine Girl DJ set: a chaotic blend of breakcore, digital hardcore, jungle and punk energy, where tempos jump and textures stay rough, saturated, and restless. It’s less about smooth transitions than about impact and acceleration.
Crystallmess, the Paris-based DJ and artist (Christelle Oyiri), brings a wider palette that moves through dancehall, techno and hybrid club forms, with a real sense of narrative and rhythm switches. Expect a set that plays with tension, memory and movement, without getting stuck in one lane.
From Italy, Gabber Eleganza digs into hardcore and gabber roots while keeping an ear on post-rave mutations: rapid-fire kicks, breaked-up momentum, and a curator’s instinct for linking scenes and eras. The bill is rounded out by D. Blavatsky (Calgary) alongside Montréal artists The Bald Girl, Mowie and Outback, keeping the energy high and the angles varied all night.
