Revealed by sharing his early tracks online during his studies at St Andrews, Benjamin Steer built himself around direct choruses and a voice always at the forefront. Songs such as Be My Love, Miracle, Sinner, and No One Wants To Die Alone sketch a sober and emotional universe, where the intimate is never decorative. His perfectionism, which he links to obsessive-compulsive disorder, threads through the lyrics without becoming a talking point: rather a way of getting straight to feeling, between an admitted confession and an accessible pop format.
