If you're coming to be shaken by a nerve-wracking, precise post-hardcore outfit, Hail The Sun heads to Birmingham on November 13, 2026 at the O2 Institute Birmingham. Formed in Chico, California, the quartet has carved out a niche by blending the urgency of screamo, angular math-rock guitars, and progressive writing full of twists. On stage, everything revolves around this taut dynamic: razor-sharp tempo changes, interwoven riffs, nimble bass lines, and Donovan Melero's high-pitched voice, capable of switching from catchy singing to more abrasive outbursts, all while keeping the whole thing under control.
From POW! Right in the Kisser! to Wake, then Culture Scars, Mental Knife, and the more recent New Age Filth and Divine Inner Tension, the band hones the same recipe: compact tracks, constant intensity, and that eye for detail that makes sure you never get bored, even when things go off in every direction.
