For over twenty years, Danakil has been forging its path away from postures, relying on Francophone reggae nourished by roots, brass and blended grooves. Born at the end of the 1990s, the collective has built a solid discography in which writing remains at the core: engaged, humanitarian lyrics, attentive to social justice, solidarity, ecology, and freedom, without losing the taste for the chorus that brings people together.
On stage, the group relies on generous live performances and cohesion, forged through touring and a genuine camaraderie among the musicians. On December 5, 2026, Danakil will bring its energy to the Roudour – Pôle Culturel in Saint-Martin-des-Champs, with that blend of warmth, consciousness and pulsation that defines their signature.
