“Above All” is AZ's new stand-up show, a performance that starts from a rarely admitted confession: the lack of enthusiasm. Here, he directly confronts the injunctions of the era — to be passionate, invested, all-in, and above all to know how to tell a story that makes everything feel intense. With precise writing and a sense of rhythm that never lets go, AZ turns the doldrums into sharp laughter, and disillusionment into a collective mirror. He speaks of the tyranny of the extraordinary, of the pressure to render every detail memorable, while he himself finds nothing exceptional to tell — and that is precisely where the show lands its punch.
