Slaughter to Prevail arrives in Ottawa on November 19, 2026 for a new leg of their North American tour. Born between Russia and the United Kingdom around vocalist Aleksandr “Alex Terrible” Shikolai and guitarist Jack Simmons, the group has carved out a distinctive place in 2010s deathcore with a straightforward formula: ultra-fast riffs, massive breakdowns, and unfiltered guttural vocals. After the EP Chapters of Misery, Misery Sermon laid the foundations for a sound as brutal as it is precise, underpinned by lyrics alternating English and Russian, while Kostolom expanded the terrain with groovier rhythms and more mobile structures, without losing impact.
On stage, the energy remains the same: modern deathcore, tight, built for live performance, where the violence of extreme passages coexists with more hook-driven writing. All of this takes place at History Ottawa, with Rev3rent supporting.
