Tangerine Dream return to Poland with the Level Tour 2027, and on 15 May 2027 they will stop in Gdańsk at the Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk. The group, founded in Berlin in 1967 by Edgar Froese, has for decades built its world from hypnotic sequences, ambient textures, and electronic improvisations that have permanently etched themselves in the history of the so-called Berlin School. The tour program brings together key pieces from the classical repertoire with newer material developing the themes of 'The Quantum Years,' the period that continued Froese's vision after his death.
The current lineup is Thorsten Quaeschning (the band's musical director), Hoshiko Yamane, and Paul Frick. Live, Tangerine Dream focuses on long forms, seamless transitions, and moments created here and now, and concerts often end with an extended improvised session. This is a proposition for those who enjoy electronics in a spacious and narrative version, more like a journey than a set of songs.
