Glen Hansard returns to the stage on 6 November 2026 at the Gleneagle Arena in Killarney, Ireland. A Dublin-born singer-songwriter, he first made his mark with The Frames, his historic band, carving a path between nerve-wracking rock and taut folk, propelled by writing that is blunt and direct.
His name has since become rooted far beyond Ireland with Once, the indie cult film in which he shares the screen with Markéta Irglová. The song Falling Slowly takes on a special dimension there, ultimately earning the Best Original Song Oscar in 2008. Since then, Hansard has pursued a dense solo trajectory, from Rhythm and Repose to Didn’t He Ramble (Grammy-nominated), then This Wild Willing, where he pushes even further the intensity of his playing and his voice. On stage, he blends intimate songs with bursts of collective energy, with that straightforward way of telling what burns inside.
