Bertrand Belin returns to the stage with his characteristic blend of literary chanson and hard-edged rock, where every word matters as much as the silence around it. In recent months he has been seen at the cinema, on stage, or in bookstores with La Figure, but it is in concert that his deep voice and distinctive phrasing take on their full force. For this new tour, he is presenting his eighth album re-centered around the piano, placed at the heart of a string arrangement, with a finely tuned balance of electronics, guitars and a rhythm section that knows its place. His elliptical prose traverses bursts of energy, love and anxieties without pressing, with that sense of narrative and imagery that makes him instantly recognizable.
