Fat Dog lands at Rough Trade Liverpool on October 7, 2026 for an in-store live performance, conceived as a direct extension of their album. Born in London in 2020 around Joe Love before expanding into a quintet, the band built a reputation on stage well before releasing their first tracks, then toured as the opening act for Sports Team, Yard Act, and Viagra Boys, before signing to Domino. Their music sits on a taut line between post-punk, dance-punk and front-facing electronic: nervous synths, rave-like rhythms, and recurring motifs that tighten with pressure. Fat Dog also enjoys left-field detours, with textures that can tilt toward klezmer, notably thanks to the saxophone. This date coincides with the release of their new album Cancel Me (I’m Tired), and promises a compact, physical set, calibrated to test the songs in real-world conditions.
