Chanel Beads, Shane Lavers' New York project, comes to lay down its misty songs in London on November 6, 2026, at KOKO. Between dream pop, indie pop and lo-fi textures, its music moves forward hesitantly: fragile melodies, voices often subdued, arrangements deliberately diffuse, like tracks snatched on the fly and then glued back together in a rough manner. Since the Zut Alors EP (2018) and a series of singles released from 2020 onward, Chanel Beads has refined a writing made of distorted pop, sound collages and unstable balances between intimacy and abstraction.
This language stretches fully on the album Your Day Will Come (2024), carried by tracks such as Police Scanner, Idea June, or Embarrassed Dog. On stage, one can expect a set that plays with dynamics, blurred zones and gentle ruptures, at the border between songwriting and a form of ambient pop. Shane Lavers also collaborates closely with Maya McGrory (Colle), in the same indie and experimental vein.
