Jacaranda Records invites Yard Act to a small, intimate live session to celebrate the release of their third album, You’re Gonna Need A Little Music. On 17 July 2026, the Leeds-based band will lay down their guitars at Jacaranda Baltic in Liverpool, with the blend that has defined them since 2020: nervy post-punk, catchy bass lines, and spoken-word vocals that observe daily life with dry irony.
Led by James Smith on the mic and Ryan Needham on bass, Yard Act move forward on instinct, balancing rhythmic tension with storytelling. Their writing remains direct, attentive to detail, with a taste for portraits and for situations that derail. After the impact of The Overload, this new chapter continues in the same vein: tracks tailor-made for the live setting, where raw energy counts as much as the meaning of the words. A date conceived as a launch, close to the audience, to hear these titles take shape in real life.
