If you say the name Kim Wilde, you immediately think of British new wave and synth-pop with sharp hooks and choruses that stick. Since her breakthrough in the early 1980s, she has been building a sound, often with her brother Ricky Wilde, where solid keyboards and pop-rock guitars cross paths. In her live set, the classics from that early period naturally surface, but you also hear how she later shifted toward a more radio-oriented pop-rock and a more mature pop sound, without losing her direct, bright style. In recent years she has remained active with new material that nods to the 1980s, but live she mainly emphasizes energy, tight band dynamics, and that distinctive Wilde timbre. Kim Wilde performs on 14 April 2027 at SPOT/De Oosterpoort in Groningen.
