If the page bears the name Dead Poet Society, it’s mainly to rediscover that Boston quartet where they do the most damage: on stage. Formed around Jack Underkofler, Jack Collins, Will Goodroad and Dylan Brenner, the group crafts taut, alternative rock nourished by grunge, hard rock and noise textures, with dense riffs, a tight rhythm section, and vocal lines that grab you without smoothing the sound. After a string of well-received EPs, Dead Poet Society expanded the format with the album -!- (2021), where the songwriting builds on crisp refrains and an abrasive yet legible production, at the crossroads between modern rock and post-grunge heritage. With Fission (2024), the band pushes the contrasts further, leans more into dynamics and lightens the arrangements without losing that blunt, upfront edge. Dead Poet Society will perform on February 2, 2027 at The Garage in Glasgow.
