If you love instrumental music that leans as hard on metal and prog as it does on hip-hop, funk, and electronics, you’ll want to be at Polyphia on December 8, 2026 at AFAS Live in Amsterdam. The Texan four-piece led by guitarists Tim Henson and Scott LePage, with Clay Gober on bass and Clay Aeschliman on drums, built its name on razor-sharp riffs, 'shred' that never feels gratuitous, and a rhythm sense that often recalls trap. Since Inspire, Muse and Renaissance, their sound has grown increasingly open, with New Levels New Devils as a turning point and Remember That You Will Die as the record where contrasts and details continually challenge each other. Don’t expect a classic rock show, but a set that plays with precision, groove, and melodies that stick in your head.
