City of the Sun lands at RUST, in Nørrebro (Copenhagen), on December 13, 2026, with its instrumental format that makes all the difference. Born in the streets of New York in the early 2010s, the trio John Pita, Avi Snow and Zach Para first honed their craft outdoors—in parks and in the subway—before moving on to clubs and then touring, in the United States as well as in Europe. On stage, everything rests on two acoustic guitars and percussion, with a real space for improvisation and collective interplay. Their music moves between flamenco-flavored guitar phrases, indie-rock pulses, folk detours and nods to Latin American music. The tracks unfold like instrumental landscapes, between looping motifs, rising tension and calmer breaths. A spirit that is also found on To the Sun and All the Cities in Between (2016), conceived as the studio version of a repertoire shaped live.
