Dead Poet Society lands at Pumpehuset in Copenhagen on February 28, 2027, with its taut and direct alt-rock. Born in Boston around four musicians who studied at the Berklee College of Music, the band (Jack Underkofler, Jack Collins, Will Goodroad, and Dylan Brenner) moves on a clear line: heavy riffs, a tight rhythm section, catchy vocal melodies, and that abrasive grain that flirts as much with grunge as with modern hard rock, sometimes threaded with noise textures. After a string of EPs that set the stage (Axiom, Weapons, Dempsey), Dead Poet Society broadens its scope with -!- (2021), where the writing tightens around songs crafted for the live stage, effective without trying to be flashy. Based in Los Angeles thereafter, they carry the momentum into Fission (2024), playing more with contrasts and more open arrangements, without losing the initial tension. A concert designed for those who love heavy guitars, punchy choruses, and the energy of a live show, without tipping into metal.
