We Are Scientists are set to perform at Electric Bristol in Bristol on October 10, 2026, playing With Love & Squalor in its entirety. Released in the mid-2000s, this record established the New York duo (born in California, now firmly rooted in NYC) with their edgy indie rock: dry guitars, bass-forward, short songs and hooks that grab without overdoing it. An opportunity to dive back into that taut writing, between alternative rock and post-punk revival, which has become their signature. And since the show doesn't stop at nostalgia, the band also runs through 'all the hits': a chance to revisit their best-known tracks and gauge how Keith Murray and Chris Cain have evolved the formula toward more pop-inflected textures over the albums, without sacrificing their rock edge. An evening conceived as a panorama, from the cult record to the tracks that followed, powered by their direct energy and their knack for hooks.
